Michael Smith serves as a Director on ACCOY Pharmaceuticals, Inc.'s Strategy Advisory Board.  He is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer responsible for global information services at The Estée Lauder Companies.  Previously, he served as the Global Head of Digital & Innovation + Global Business Services at Mylan until July 2016. At Mylan, he served on its Strategy, Business Transformation, Performance, Operating, Talent and Conformance executive committees. Additionally, he chaired both the company’s Digital and Innovation executive committees. His responsibilities included oversight, leadership, and P&L responsibilities for digital health, digital commerce, digital marketing, and innovation, and Mylan’s shared services organization, which centralized the management of global or regional transactional activities so as to drive scale, efficiency and consistency, and better leverage expertise and best practices. The organization supported the company’s finance, human relations, procurement, IT and commercial operations, all of which served Mylan’s business lines worldwide. Prior to joining Mylan in 2012, he spent most of his career at Nike where he held a variety of Technology, Supply Chain, Sales, & Customer Service roles at Nike over 22 years. He began as a Programmer / Analyst & retired as an IT Executive responsible for overseeing Nike Inc.’s worldwide Enterprise Solutions & Technology group (Including oversight & management of Converse, Hurley, Umbro, & Cole Haan CIOs). Earlier in his career, he worked in IT positions at AutoZone, an auto parts retailer, and at Malone and Hyde, a food distributor. He is one of the executives that was profiled in “The New IT: How Technology Leaders Are Enabling Business Strategy in a Digital Age”. Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tenn.
